CUSTOMER INSERTED CHARTS FOR AIRPORTS NOT IN YOUR COVERAGE
To insert a chart at an airport, the airport must first be in your coverage. If you intend to use the Insert Chart functionality in Ground Controls to insert charts at airports not currently in your coverage, please contact your Jeppesen account manager to have those airports added to your coverage with a CIC placeholder file.
Depending on the update frequency of your coverage and when you submit the request, it may take 28 days or longer to have new airports show up in your coverage.
If you will only be inserting charts at airports currently in your coverage, no further action is required and you will be able insert charts at those locations immediately.

ALERTS
Currently if you receive chart alerts via email, you will get alerts for an entire geographic region (such as North America, Asia Pacific, etc.) even though your actual operational area may be much smaller than that. The result is that you likely receive alerts that do not apply to your area of operations and therefore have to sort through all the alerts to find the ones that apply to your routes. The Alerts module within Ground Controls was created to streamline the process by filtering out the alerts that do not apply, thus saving time and reducing mistakes. The Alerts module also provides the capability to view the chart alert details and any attachments within Ground Controls and to add optional notes regarding actions your organization took in response to the chart alert.
You have the option either to continue receiving chart alerts as you do today or to enable the Alerts module within Ground Controls. If you choose to continue to receive charts alerts as you do today, no further action is required.
If you intend to use the filtered chart alerts capability in Ground Controls, some additional information will be required to complete the setup. Our Professional Services team will work with you to make sure you are set up correctly.

FLEETS/TAILORED MAPS
With the introduction of FliteDeck Pro X version 4.5, the Fleets and Tailored Maps modules within Ground Controls replace the stand-alone Tailored Maps application. You can now manage and publish your tailored enroute content on a schedule that works best for your company; you no longer need to publish a preview version.
In order to review content changes, Our Professional Services team will set up the new tailored maps package type using the content review workflow within JDM Pro. This will enable the ability to review changes to enroute on the mobile EFB before the changes are distributed to the pilots.
